With the end of 2015, we have received news that WordCamp is finally happening in Lahore, Pakistan. Muhammad Kashif, who is the primary organizer of WordPress Lahore Meetups worked hard to organize successful meetups with over 500 attendees at TechHub Connect. The recent WordPress meetup in Lahore on 19 December 2015 was noticed by the WordPress Foundation and the global community. After the phenomenal growth of WordPress Meetups in Lahore, Kashif and his team decided to apply for WordCamp. The application was approved for WordCamp Lahore in September, 2016.
What Is WordCamp?
WordPress meetups happens in all parts of the world. Bloggers, developers, designers, and technology associates join these meetups to build a strong community of WordPress. These meetups then changed into a bigger and better conference known as WordCamp.
There is a core team of organizer and co-organizers that are working with the mentors of WordPress Foundation to make the event successful. These co-organizers have their own sets of responsibilities.

WordPress professionals from other cities like Karachi, Sialkot and Islamabad are also working actively to arrange WordPress meetups for the growth of local community. The core organizers from these inter city WordPress communities are working with the Lahore team in organizing WordCamp Lahore.
