Huawei Mate 9 Pro Comes with a Dual Edge Curved Display

Huawei has launched the Mate 9 Pro in China with a gorgeous dual-edged screen and specs to rival other flagship smartphones on the market.

The company has crammed in as much power as it could in the Mate 9 Pro, making it one of the fastest phones in the market. It comes with Huawei’s own Kirin 960 64-bit Octa-core processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM in the 64 GB storage version and 6 GB of RAM in the 128 GB one.

The main highlight of the phone is the beautiful dual-edged screen, clearly inspired by Samsung’s Galaxy Edge series. It measures 5.5-inch and is a Quad HD 2560 x 1440 AMOLED display. On the back, there is a dual Leica branded camera setup, a 20MP one, and a 12 MP one. There is also a decent 8MP camera on the front for your selfie needs.

In terms of software, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro is one of the first phones (excluding the LG V20 and Pixel) to run Android 7.0 out of the box. The Mate 9 Pro is almost identical to the company’s recently-announced Mate 9 Porsche Edition phone, albeit cheaper and without the Porsche branding.

The phone is available in two variants; a 64 GB storage/ 4 GB RAM one that costs around $686 (71,875 rupees) and a 128 GB storage/ 6 GB RAM version that costs around $774 (81,095 rupees). The phone is currently aimed as an exclusive for the Chinese market and there is no word on whether it will make to Pakistan or any other markets around the globe.
