Canon is one of the big names in the mainstream camera industry. Canon’s EOS 5D series is especially famous and is popular among professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Canon is introducing the next entry in its EOS 5D series, namely the Mark IV. Canon Pakistan unveiled the new camera at an event yesterday in Lahore. The event was in collaboration with MBM international, Canon’s business partner in Pakistan.
Mahmood Naqvi, Managing Director of MBM International, said that in making this new DSLR offering at Canon, they listened to fans and current generation EOS 5D Mark III users to improve upon their design. He added,
Outdoor photographers will really appreciate the new EOS 5D Mark IV, as it offers more resolution, better detail in the shadows, and improved speeds in autofocus and frame rate. With the fabulous resolution of 4K video and the ability to make beautiful prints from a frame of that video as an added bonus, this camera sets a new mid-range standard for nature photography.
Canon added a number of useful features to the Mark IV. In addition to a higher resolution sensor at 30.4 MP, the ISO range has also been expanded to 100-32000 compared with 100-25600 of the previous Mark III.
The new Dual Pixel phase detection auto focus is coupled with 4K video recording to provide a much better video recording experience on the Mark IV. A touch screen replaces the standard LCD with Wi-Fi and NFC added in, a first for Canon’s EOS 5D Mark series.
No word on price for now, it goes for $3,499 in the US so expect something close or above Rs. 400,000 in Pakistan.
