New Gas Reserves Discovered in Sindh

Another gas reserves have been explored in Gambat South Block located in Matiari in Sindh.

According to the information, the gas flowed at 22.2 MMscfd from the well at 48/64 choke during the testing.

In a stock filing, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), the operator of gas field block, disclosed that an exploratory well Zafir X-1 was drilled to test the hydrocarbon potential of massive sand of lower goru formation. During the testing, gas flowed at 29.2 Mscfd from the well.

PPL is one of the major operators in Pakistan for exploring oil and gas reserves. It discovered 264 wells of gas and 46 of crude oil in different provinces in the last financial year.

Its productions of gas stands at 838 MMscf and oil at 14,627 bbl.
