Moto G77 Power Brings Back Two Features Many Phones Have Ditched

Motorola has expanded its G Power lineup with the Moto G77 Power. The range already includes the Moto G37 Power, G57 Power, and G67 Power.

However, the new model is less of a direct upgrade and more of a combination of features already available across the existing G Power phones.

As per usual from G series phones, the G77 Power keeps the headphone jack and SD card slot, which most phones these days no longer have. On top of that, it is also an incredibly tough phone with military-grade durability.

Design and Display

The Moto G77 Power features a 6.72-inch LCD with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The 8-bit panel can reach up to 1,050 nits of brightness in high-brightness mode. Motorola has protected the screen with Gorilla Glass 7i, while the fingerprint sensor is positioned on the side.

The phone carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, making it dust-tight and resistant to splashes. It has also passed MIL-STD-810H durability testing. The device measures 8.9mm in thickness and weighs 215 grams.

Motorola has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack, which supports FM radio and carries Hi-Res Audio certification. The phone also includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

Connectivity options include sub-6GHz 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.4. NFC is not available. The USB-C port supports USB 2.0 data transfer.

Motorola offers the phone in four Pantone colour options: Impenetrable Gray, Nautical Blue, Fuchsia Red, and Laurel Green.

Internals and Software

The Moto G77 Power uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, which is also found in the Moto G37 Power sold in India.

In comparison, the Moto G57 Power and G67 Power use the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processors, respectively. Those two phones launched in late 2025, while the G37 Power arrived in April.

Motorola pairs the Dimensity 6400 with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The phone also includes a microSD card slot supporting up to 1TB of additional storage. This feature is also available on the G37 Power, while the G57 Power and G67 Power do not support expandable storage.

The Moto G77 Power ships with Android 16. Motorola will provide one major operating system update to Android 17 and three years of security patches.

Cameras

The Moto G77 Power has a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 primary camera with 0.8µm pixels, an f/1.8 aperture, and phase-detection autofocus.

An 8MP ultrawide camera accompanies it, featuring 1.12µm pixels, a 120-degree field of view, an f/2.2 aperture, and fixed focus.

A 32MP front camera sits inside a punch-hole cutout. It uses 0.7µm pixels and an f/2.2 fixed-focus lens.

Among the related G Power models, only the Moto G67 Power also has a 32MP selfie camera. The G37 Power and G57 Power use 8MP front cameras.

All three cameras can record videos at 1080p resolution. However, only the main rear camera supports recording at 60 frames per second.

Battery and Pricing

The Moto G77 Power carries a 7,000 mAh battery, matching the large capacity offered by the other G Power models. It supports 30W TurboPower wired charging and 6W reverse charging.

The phone will launch on July 13 and will be available through Motorola stores and offline retail stores. Motorola is offering a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for approximately $270.
