Lenovo has announced the refreshed Moto E phones for 2017. Dubbed the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus, the budget phones offer the most basic specifications with an affordable price point.
Moto E4 will be available in 2 different variants, with and without the fingerprint sensor. The E4 Plus will have the fingerprint sensor by default.
The two phones will be available starting from $129 for the Moto E4 and $179 for the E4 Plus.
Moto E4
Starting with the Moto E4, the design is bland and generic, as you would expect from a budget phone. It looks like a cheaper version of the Moto Z from last year. The E4 also has water-repellent nano coating
The E4 -as mentioned earlier- comes in two different variants, with and without the fingerprint sensor. It features a 5 inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display.
Moto E4 Plus
A quick look at the E4 Plus shows that it resembles the regular Moto E4. However, if you look closely you’ll notice that the camera and flash is a bit pressed in with a chrome border around both. Unlike the E4, the E4 plus has a metal and plastic body which justifies the higher price.
It has a 5.5 inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display. The E4 Plus also includes water-repellent nano coating.
Moto E4 comes with either Snapdragon 425 or 427, E4 plus includes the latter. Both of the phones have 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage (E4 Plus has a 32 GB version).
The two phones come with Android 7.1 Nougat.
The E4 has an 8MP primary camera and a 5 MP front camera with an LED flash. E4 Plus has a 13 MP sensor and a similar 5 MP front camera with an LED flash.
Moto E4 has a 2,800 mAh battery while the E4 Plus has a massive 5,000 mAh battery unit.
