Xiaomi to Donate Rs. 1,000 to Shaukat Khanum Hospital for Every Phone Sold on its Store

Following the spirit of Ramzan and the company’s vision of making lives better, Xiaomi Pakistan has joined hands with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.

The recently launched mobile phone company from China has pledged to donate a portion of its’ sales to SKMCH to help raise awareness and funds for the hospitals new initiative.

For every mobile phone sold via http://mistore.pk/, Xiaomi will automatically donate PKR 1,000 from it’s profits to SKMCH.

Alternatively for every eco product purchased such as power bank, hands free, mi band etc, Xiaomi will be donating PKR 100 to SKMCH.

This campaign started in Ramzan and will run till 15 days after Eid.

“I strongly believe that whatever we do in life, we cannot succeed until and unless we reach out and help those who do not have any support in their lives. When we got the opportunity to collaborate with Shaukat Khanum Trust for this campaign, we jumped right in because if we can have anything to do with the difference that SKMCH makes in people’s lives, we can be proud of not only our initiative but also the empathy from our customers.”, said Mr. Ahmed Butt, Marketing Director Smartlink Technologies.

In 2016, SKMCH recorded 10,203 new patient registrations and 236,351 outpatient visits, almost three times the number of registrations, and five times the number of visits in 2000.

Over the last fifteen years, the Hospital has seen an increasing trend in the number of treatments provided to its patients.

Many young innocent lives are being saved at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre.

Last year, Zakat contributions made it possible to treat almost 75% of poor cancer patients for free. This year SKMCH needs to raise PKR 5.5 Billion to help treat poor cancer patients.

Additionally, the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust plans to open a research center which will be based in Karachi.

  • Appreciate their effort.
Atleast they are doing something inspite of being not much popular among people in Pakistan and also they dont have any outlets except Islamabad.
And other phone and telecommunication conglomerates in Pakistan should also learn something.
    Keep it up ?

  • Pleased to note the CSR formally announced via Press Release by Smart Link Pakistan dealership of Xiaomi in Pakistan. Xiaomi has recnetly acquired/merged other technology companies in health care particularly in sensor based technology in fitneess band which has brought Xiaomi in the rating categoy in the world. I notice Xiaomi despite the early times, has no good prices, promotions in Pakistan rather the US where they have excellent promotions, support, whereas its only Halla Gulla advertising, marketing. There’s a dire need for research on appliations on IOT area from Xiaomi in healthcare as the SDG UN has excepnt support to achieve the goals by 2030. Pakistan’s pride is WHO elections for next firve years Dr. Sania Nishtar was among the ffew candidates being short listed for the post of DG at WHO excelling India and China as well in healh care at WHO.
I would say Xiaomi Pakistan to be serious with sales push marketing, sales stargeets. The real work is research iwhich Pakistan is fully capable to collaborate with Xiaomi in AIT, in IOT, Apps., for Alzeimer, Dementia and Mental Health where billions is sunk in R&D and failed. Xiaomi should first bring down the prices of MI Band 2 to 50% in retail and may also seek exemption of FED/Sales Tax to bring a healthy Pakistan by Xiaomi. Institutions as SIUT are doing research would also be of help, plus many new technology development companies in SMB are doing. Xiaomi please get serious about product sales in genuine natural pace to deliver the customer, not the vendors. God bless.

  • Xiaomi already enjoys the best benefit of Bilateral treaty between Pakistan and China in the Ministerial protocol. No other country product, service can match the strength of the Chinese bond. Hence Xiaomi should please bring its prices is self marketing by brand strength. If we need a healthy Pakistan Xiaomi could help and play its role, in healthy and wellness of Pakistan.

  • Mi doing the marketing gimmick very nicely. Qmobile should be ashamed, they kept their ayashi first by bringing in Indian crappy models.
