Karachi Civic Innovation Lab (KCIL) - a project of Pakistan Innovation Foundation, Karachi Youth Initiative, and Habib University - is organising a 2-day Smart City Hackathon at NED University of Engineering and Technology on Oct 14-15th.
The SMART CITY Hackathon will bring together technologists, engineers, designers, entrepreneurs, and civic activists to create technology and data-driven solutions to Karachi’s major challenges.
The Hackathon shall primarily focus on 4 themes:
The Hackathon is bringing key stakeholders and public partners (‘problem owners’) from the city to help guide the solvers and become the primary beneficiaries of the creative energy.
The winners not only get a chance to deploy their solutions in partnership with the Karachi Civic Innovation Lab, but there are a number of different incentives at stake:
