Here’s How Pakistanis Celebrated the Return of Cricket on Social Media #PakvsSL

Cricket came home and Pakistan celebrated yet another successful completion of a high profile cricket game. Lahore sparkled in glee on Sunday night and everyone talked about nothing but cricket, even those who don’t follow cricket regularly were glued to their television screens; such was the passion among the Pakistanis who want to see the game return to their shores.

There was music, there was fun, there were celebrations and there was love for the Sri Lankan team which made the night truly memorable for both the teams and for all of Pakistan.

Every cricket fan in the country wanted to see their favourite sons play before their eyes and watch their heroes celebrate the victory moments in Gaddafi Stadium, and so they did.

It was a comprehensive victory for Pakistan in the final clash, but Sri Lankan players won our hearts. Pakistanis welcomed their guests with roars that all of Lahore could hear; it was truly marvellous.

If something makes Twitterati active, it is definitely worthwhile, isn’t it?

Let’s see how Twitter paid tribute to the Sri Lanka team for visiting the cricket-thirsty country; Pakistan. Before that, the National Anthem of Pakistan.

Welcoming Sri Lanka by reminding them their World Cup Triumph in Lahore!

Amir was the standout bowler, but it was the Sri Lanka XI which won the hearts of millions.

It has been a great year for Pakistan cricket.

Everyone is in love with the young Sri Lankan team for making the trip.

Thisara Perera is the new Darren Sammy for Pakistan.

Pakistanis will love the Sri Lankan team and cricket board forever.

Peace always wins! Thank you, Sri Lanka.

There were those who were rooting for Sri Lanka in the third match, such is the love for the brave team.

We are certainly proud of Sri Lanka XI for visiting Pakistan.

Way to go for Pakistan.

It was a historic day for Pakistan cricket in true sense of the word.

It would not have been possible without the efforts of the Pakistani military and para-military forces.
