Bill Gates’ Charity Offers $10 million to Innovators Who Can Solve Global Challenges

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, has joined hands with the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Philanthropic Foundation, the MiSK – a non-profit foundation aiming to help disadvantaged youth – to fund ‘innovative’ ideas that have potential to boost education and decrease poverty.

Two topics, namely ‘education’ and ‘global citizenship’, have been chosen, in the ‘MiSK Grand Challenges’ drive, to “innovative solutions to challenges facing education systems,” and discover “Global Goals for Sustainable Development,” respectively.

Bill Gates’ foundation is releasing funds of $10 million for the initiative, that will distribute the money equally among the hundred ‘innovators’ over a three-year stretch. The candidates, when allocated funds, will be backed by experts and specialists to transmute their concepts into real initiatives.

Furthermore, the participants who will be successful in launching new ideas will be provided more funding to carry their projects to the next level.

“The MiSK Grand Challenges will incentivize more of the brightest minds around the world to find the best ideas to solve some of the toughest development challenges,” Gates disclosed in a press statement on Tuesday.
