Telenor Customers to Enjoy Big Discounts on Careem Rides

Commuting for Telenor customers across Pakistan is going to get a lot more convenient and pocket-friendly!

To facilitate its customers further, Telenor Pakistan teamed up with Careem to offer free and discounted rides.

The promotion entails a FREE first ride for new sign-ups of Careem from Telenor Pakistan network. Moreover, all Telenor customers who are existing Careem users will also enjoy 20% conditional discounts on as many as four rides for the duration of this campaign.

The partnership is significant as it will give millions of people access to subsidized travel on cars, bikes, and rickshaws.

“Being Pakistan’s primary digital lifestyle partner, we are always on the lookout for new ways to facilitate our customers and persistently add value to our products and solutions,” said Nauman Pervez Qureshi, Head of Digital Products, Telenor Pakistan.

“We are happy to have joined hands with Pakistan’s trusted ride-hailing service Careem once again to bring amazing discounts to our mutual customer base. The partnership is part of our serious efforts toward development and promotion of a digital ecosystem in Pakistan that aims to extend the benefits of communications technology to a common man in every part of the country,” he added.

“This partnership was inevitable. It only makes sense that two giants in the tech industry work together for the benefit of their users,” said Junaid Iqbal, Managing Director, Careem. “Telenor and Careem have always believed in bridging distances, and there is no other better way to do so than making commute easier,” he added.

The tech industry is no longer segmented into telecommunication, traveling, and food ordering apps. It is one conglomerate where a user who is connected to one is connected to all others. One evidence to support this claim is the increased integration between telecoms and ride-hailing apps, such the integration between Telenor and Careem.

Telenor Pakistan has been building alliances with top tech players of the country to materialize and expedite its digitization and inclusion goals. Continuing to bring access to the internet in various parts of the country, Telenor aims to revolutionize the everyday life of the 21st century man and woman, where accessibility finds a new definition.

As the digitalisation of talks headed by MOITT is on, Telenor Pakistan can play its role by educating the masses on the digital use of smart phone, applications for common men, women, geriatrics, old, unwell, sick, people, as well people from mental health as Alzheimer can live normal lives as citizen of Pakistan.
