11 Pakistanis Are Heading to World Economic Forum 2018

World Economic Forum (WEF) is an international organization that aims to improve the state of the world with the help of business, academics and politics.

The WEF holds annual meetings to celebrate entrepreneurship and ideas from around the world. Its 2018 meeting will be attended by a Pakistani delegation of eleven led by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

The event will be held from 18th January, and will highlight new ideas and initiatives that can make the world a better place.

Pakistani Delegation

Pakistan is sending 11 people to represent its ideas and share initiatives it has undertaken. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be leading the delegation and interacting with world leaders and entrepreneurs, discussing economic, innovative and social betterment opportunities.

  • Zarrar Sehgal (Deputy Chairman, Pathfinder Group)
  • Ali Raza Siddiqui (Vice Chairman, JS Bank Limited)
  • Saira Afzal Tarrar (Minister for National Health Services)
  • Khawaja Muhammad Asif (Minister for Foreign Affairs)
  • Marriyum Aurangzeb (Minister for Information Broadcasting and National Heritage)
  • Bilawal Bhutto Zardari (Chairman, Pakistan People’s Party)

Another social entrepreneur from Pakistan who has been invited to the annual meeting is Fayeeza Naqvi, co-founder and chairperson of Aman Foundation.

The delegation will meet world leaders such as Bill Gates and Jack Ma in a “Meet the Leaders” session, give private lectures and become acquainted with the Global Shapers Community of WEF.
