The Accountability Court has ruled against Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar in the Avenfield Apartments reference, sentencing 10, 7 and 1 years in jail respectively on Friday.

Despite repeated delays due to mismanagement, and the Ex-Prime Minister’s plea to delay the verdict, the final decision didn’t bode very well for the Sharif family as disqualified Prime Minister and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were fined £8 million and £2 million respectively.
