Your Complete Guide to Applying for the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme

After Prime Minister Imran Khan’s announcement of ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Program’, the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued the registration forms for the housing project.

The pilot project has kick-started in seven districts including Islamabad, Faisalabad, Sukkur, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad and Swat. NADRA has been tasked to gather data for the housing needs of the people.

A Flagship Project

PM Imran Khan, several times during his election campaign and after assuming the office, announced to build as many as 5 million low-cost houses and create 10 million jobs across five years of his term. The project which seems nearly impossible was ‘one of his ambitions for the people of the country.

During the third week in power, the PM constituted a task force and urged it to come up with suggestions within a week. After the finalization of the procedure, the government has launched the first phase of the housing program.

According to the details, the government is responsible to provide the required land for the project and play the role of a regulator and facilitator throughout. The government will address all the hurdles and will ensure a suitable environment for public and private sectors and non-profit organizations to execute the project seamlessly.

Provision of 6 Million Jobs

PM Khan believes that the successful completion of the project will also create millions of jobs.

In his Twitter post on Thursday, country’s premier said the project will provide as many as 6 million jobs and create demand in 40 industries directly involved in house building & attract FDI.

Who Can Apply for Naya Pakistan Housing Program?

  • The eligibility criteria of the project allows only one person per family (husband, wife and children) to apply in this scheme.
  • Candidates who do not own any independent residential unit in Pakistan will have the privilege.
  • Homes are for the common man with monthly income around Rs10,000-25,000.
  • Candidates will deposit PKR 250 along with this registration form.
  • The housing authority will decide the housing specification including design, price and site for the applicants based on the data provided in the forms.

How to Apply for Naya Pakistan Housing Program?

The registration forms are now available on NADRA’s website and can be downloaded from there. The applicants can submit the form at the selected district offices within two months (from October 22 to December 21) along with registration fee of Rs 250. List of the offices is given below.

Registration forms can be submitted in the following offices:

SUKKUR: DC Office, Sukkur

QUETTANADRA Registration Center, adjacent Helper Eye Hospital, Sariab Road Quetta

GILGIT: DC Office, Gilgit

MUZAFFARABAD: DC Office old secretariat, Muzaffarabad

SWAT: DC Office, District Court, Mengura Swat

ISLAMABAD: NADRA Mega Center, Blue Area Islamabad

FAISALABAD: DC Office Faisalabad

    Instruction in the form

    It is compulsory to fill every field. Please fill this form in ENGLISH using BLOCKLETTERS.

    It will be difficult for majority of form fillers to fill the form in English

    Form need to be revised and this condition be eliminated

      Every form, whether it’s a NADRA application or whatever is currently being filled in English. There is a translation of every field in Urdu as well for easier understanding. So I don’t think this is such a big issue. If they are unable to fill it up with English themselves, they can always ask other people to fill it up for them.

      Unfortunately, majority don’t know how to fill a form properly even if they are matric passed. Many people get help to fill the form.

      initially this program is launched in 7 districts after they are planning to expand to nation wide.

      Everyone who don’t own a house in pakistan can apply for any district. I live in Rawalpindi and i am applying for islamabad.

    How do they verify if someone already has a residential unit or the monthly income is less than 25k per month? This scheme might prove good but looks very flawed and launched in haste. I don’t think they have done proper homework. Let’s not expect another U turn.
    On the other hand it looks another “Ashiyana” scheme like that of PMLN. Private firms will build houses on govt. owned land ? !,….Strange…

      A comprehensive framework will be rolled out under which builders could apply to be a NAYA pakistan builder

      Prices of the house/ flats would be fixed / approved by the Government

    5 Miilion houses in 5 years means 1 million every year, whats expected cost of one house, 1 million each, turns out
    1,000,000 * 1,000,000 = 1 trillion per year, I’m baffled, another U turn on the cards
    from Metro to going IMF to blaming previous govts to another housing scam, where they’re headed to.
    Looks more like a way to get more money out of people’s pocket.

    & definitely amount will be much more as participants will try to avail first opportunity though its in just 7 districts.

  • Salam, I have some questions about this scam,

    === NOTE: This is not targeted to IK or PTI, its just simple analysis about this scheme which I want to share with you.

    1st. I want to ask from Govt, if someone fills and pays the registration fee and don’t get the home then govt will return his Rs. 250?
    2nd. Can we complain about the govt under the fraud/scam law, if we don’t get the home or our Rs. 250 which we are going to pay to Govt, because if some property agent fraud with us, we can complain about him, and now, in this case, Govt going to scam peoples for making such a huge money against Register Fee.
    3rd. We will get the legal documents of that property/home if we got it? or it will be on the lease?
    4rd. What if Govt ask for the down payment in case of getting home after collecting Rs. 250 which will be the huge amount as Govt know how to make fool Pakistanis Peoples.

    NOTE: If this form is just used for getting the idea about the home then why Registration fee is Rs. 250 / why not its free, there is a BIG note under the form which clearing us, it’s just for collecting money.

    Some random calculations
    Total Pakistani Population = Above 200 million / 2018
    For example, if 5 million users fill the form and pay 250 then the collection amount will be = 1,250,00,0000 (one billion two hundred fifty million)
    If 10 million users fill the form and pay 250 then the collection amount will be = 2,500,000,0000 (two billion five hundred million)

    For example, if just 25 million peoples pay 250 against that form then the collection will be = 6,250,000,00000 (six billion two hundred fifty million)

    This is not the small amount which Govt going to collect from us by doing scam for running his Govt.

      PKR 250 collecting for Expense in R&D Because Govt have no money to spend in this project
      & After the Collection of all Submitted form & summarized the data by NADRA then it will decided to choose your places in your premises city & pay the down payment for booking.
      It’s totally land free project & Flat Base Home.
      Wait some more info it is starting right now
      May Be 250 Rupee will be refundable who’s will not be success or directly transferred into DAM Fund.
      Most of the people have so many question about this project but wait we can find all answer of question.

      • But, what If I don’t want to donate my single penny to the DAM fund… because I don’t want to eat my donation or sadqa by paying money to Govt…

        but for this 50, Lac homes in 5 Years, its impossible mission of Khan sahab and he is preparing himself for the trouble.

          Builders/HBFC/Bank Loan arrange to make a home structure in desired places.
          Each Home Owner will be arrange 5 Lack (Within 5 Years) Before Possession.
          After Handover to Home rest amount to be paid to HBFC/Bank Directy as a loan.
          As Per Builder Ek “Normal Ghar 5 Lck” Main Tayyar Ho Jata hai
          Baki Amount Se Quarterly Ready Hoga
          Ha Lower Class Wale Nahi Le Payenge Middle Calss Wale le sakte hai
