Earlier this morning, an aircraft belonging to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) went off the runway as it landed at Panjgur Airport, Balochistan.
Flight PK-517, which was carrying at least 57 passengers, was coming from Karachi to Panjgur when the incident occurred during landing.
Witnesses say that the plane, after touching down the runway, veered off the area of the landing belt. Tyres of the aircraft were also damaged as a result.

When PIA was contacted, their spokesperson told that no major damage had occurred and that all passengers reached their venue safe and sound. He also said that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause behind this incident.

PIA’s CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik has also sought a report over this incident. He warned that in case of any wrongdoing, the accused will be subject to action as per the law.
