Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has turned out to be the richest political party of the country.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday released the details of assets owned by the political parties registered with it.
As per the ECP’s data, the PML-N holds assets worth over Rs 222 million, which makes it the wealthiest party of the country.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is the second richest party of the country with assets worth over Rs162 million.
The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf came third in term of assets. It holds assets worth over Rs116 million.
The ECP data shows the Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) headed by Asif Ali Zardari holds assets worth over Rs79 million.
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has assets worth over 58 million while the Awami National Party (ANP) has assets worth over 41 million.
The Awami Muslim League headed by incumbent Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has assets worth over Rs 2 million while Pakistan Sarzameen Party owns assets over Rs3.5 million.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) holds assets worth over 28 million while its partner in the religio-political alliance of MMA, the Jamaat-e-Islami, has assets worth over 110 million.
Tehreek-e-Labbayik owns assets worth over thirty thousand while Pakistan Awami Tehreek owns assets worth over Rs1.9 million.
