Data Intelligence Company Whale Cloud to Invest $70 Million in Pakistan

Whale Could, the strategic partner of Ali Baba Group, is about to land in Pakistan along with an investment of $70 million, spread over the next two to three years.

Whale Cloud CEO Ben Zhou called upon the Federal Minister of IT and Telecom, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, yesterday to consider the opportunities and investment climate in Pakistan.

Ben Zhou recently visited Pakistan. He told the IT minister that Whale Cloud is assisting the Chinese government and other governments around the world in developing smart infrastructure by employing a private cloud service to ensure data integrity and security.

Dr. Siddiqui also underlined the importance of skilled human capital that is abundant in Pakistan for ICT. It can be a huge help to companies like Alibaba and Whale Cloud in their strategic infrastructure planning and Deployment not just in Pakistan, but also internationally.

The IT minister further expressed his desire to make Pakistan the number one human capital hub of the whole region. He asked Whale Cloud’s CEO to tap the human capital of Pakistan, to which the CEO agreed.

The CEO apprised the minister regarding the Cloud Now Conference that is scheduled to be held on December 17, 2018.

It is pertinent to mention here that Whale Cloud is a leading data intelligence company renowned across the globe. Founded in 2003, it was the largest subsidiary of ZTE and since then, it has been engaged in telecom data processing and ICT domains for 15 years. In 2018, it became a strategic partner of Ali Baba Cloud.
