The CEO apprised the minister regarding the Cloud Now Conference that is scheduled to be held on December 17, 2018.

It is pertinent to mention here that Whale Cloud is a leading data intelligence company renowned across the globe. Founded in 2003, it was the largest subsidiary of ZTE and since then, it has been engaged in telecom data processing and ICT domains for 15 years. In 2018, it became a strategic partner of Ali Baba Cloud.

Presently, Whale Cloud is providing digital transformation technologies and services for telecom operators, enterprises, and government in over 80 countries and regions across the globe.

  • Journalists and reporters should make awareness to the Govt. and should invite Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure Cloud services in Pakistan to establish data centers in the country as there are many apps and other platforms that run on these clouds and by establishing data centers of these companies will increase the performance of the apps for the Pakistanis and will also do great benefits to the economy.
We need IT companies to invest and launch their services in the country in order to provide advancement in the digital world.

  • RapidCompute by Cybernet and PTCL Cloud are already local cloud providers in Pakistan and doing a massive business. They have invested millions of dollars already. Better to support local companies and give preference to local entrepreneurs over foreign ones. In China where Whale Cloud is from, cloud providers such as Google and others are banned and this is only reason why Alibaba cloud and Whalecloud can survive.

Government must give preference to local Pakistanis.
