Thief Steals ID Cards from NADRA Office, Leaves a Secret “Message”

A man broke into the National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) office in Landhi, Karachi stealing the identity cards and a record register.

As per the details, he has stolen 1800 identity cards along with a record register. He even left a message on the wall of the office before escaping through the roof of the building.

The Police and the Rangers reached the crime scene as soon as the incident was reported. The police have started investigating two NADRA employees as well.

Korangi SSP Syed Ali Raza is heading the investigation. According to a media report, no CCTV camera was installed in the office.

As for the sentence written on the wall, the investigators believe that it can be a trick to mislead them, rather than being a clue.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed in this regard in the Landhi police station. Moreover, NADRA will reprint the stolen ID cards by January 27.
