KPK to Build 1,000 Playgrounds in the Next 5 Years

Senior Minister for Sports, Tourism, Culture, and Youth Affairs, Atif Khan has announced that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has prepared a plan to construct 1,000 playgrounds on state land across the province to promote healthy activities among the youth in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision.

The new playgrounds will be established over the course of the next five years, the minister told the media during a ceremony held at the sports complex in Peshawar.

The senior minister along with other dignitaries visited the sports complex to congratulate the newly elected members of KP Sports Writers Association. Talking on the occasion, Khan asserted that KP boasts loads of potential and that the province’s youth is immensely talented.

Providing exposure to the youth by offering them proper playing grounds and organizing sports events regularly would encourage them to showcase their talents at not just national but international stage as well.

Talking about the government’s priorities, Khan said that the government is working hard for the welfare of the youth while also focusing on promoting tourism.

He added that now it is easier to get a no objection certificate to visit different parts of the province and the facility of e-visa for 150 countries would go a long way in boosting the country’s tourism sector.
