‘Fruit For All’ Drive Enters Peshawar

‘Fruits for all’ drive is now coming to Peshawar under which the local government plants fruit trees in public places.

As part of the drive, councilors of the city district government will be planting fruit trees in public places so that poor people can enjoy free food.

This is an initiative of the K-P government and has gained popularity in other areas as well.

Peshawar’s City District Nazim, Mohammad Asim Khan, has assigned Agriculture Department officer Khalid Usman the task to mobilize district council members for promoting the drive.

Meanwhile, member district council Iftikhar Khalil has been appointed as the coordinator for the ‘Fruit for All’ drive. He has been tasked to make this project a success.

The officers of the Agriculture Department will test the soil of the concerned districts and would suggest which plants would be suitable for the land.

Members of the district council will provide the district Nazim with recommendations for a Fruit for All Farm. The farms will then provide fruit-bearing plants to concerned union councils.
