PIA Cuts Fares for Islamabad-Beijing Flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced that it is substantially reducing the fares for Beijing-Islamabad-Beijing routes.

The national flag carrier is also offering special fares and packages for passengers traveling in groups.

The fare concession package is for the skilled manpower for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects in Pakistan, PIA announced.

It is worth mentioning here that the development has come just a day after the national airline suspended its flights for Japan.

In a statement, PIA spokesperson said that the decision was compulsory as the airline had been incurring heavy losses on this route.

He said “there were fewer passengers traveling to Japan” and because empty PIA planes were being taken to Japan.

Previously, PIA’s aircraft flew from Islamabad to Tokyo as part of the Islamabad-Beijing-Tokyo route. But, according to the latest development, the national airline will not continue its flight from Beijing to Tokyo.
