Hyundai Nishat to Announce Two New High-End Vehicles This Weekend

Hyundai Nishat Motors is set to roll out its first two vehicles on Saturday in a bid to capitalize on the growing demand for commercial and non-commercial vehicles in Pakistan.

The models include an SUV named Santa Fe and a 12-seater Grand Starex, which will be the first of the vehicles manufactured by the joint venture of Hyundai and Nishat Group under the Auto Policy 2016-21.

The models, along with the country’s first digital auto store with immersive 3D technology, will be launched in Lahore. The launch of the innovative automotive retail store is yet to be confirmed by the management of Hyundai-Nishat.

While Santa Fe is available in 7 different models across the globe, the officials are yet to comment on the number of models to be introduced in Pakistan.

Hyundai-Nishat joint venture started back in 2017, aiming to capitalize on the friendly auto policy. Hyundai is also setting up its 66-acre manufacturing plant in the Special Economic Zone in Faisalabad.

Despite the fact that the country’s favored choice is 800cc engine capacity cars, the partnership of Hyundai and Nishat has been keen to start with the sales of high-end SUVs for greater profit margins. Hyundai has also announced that it will launch electric cars soon, which might also be imported initially due to limited infrastructure in Pakistan.

While there is no official word on the prices of the two variants, it is expected to be market competitive to directly compete with the Japanese auto giants.
