Playing at Karachi Felt Like Home: Colin Ingram

Karachi Kings’ star batsman Colin Ingram has claimed that he felt at home playing at National Stadium, Karachi.

The Kings took on Quetta Gladiators and secured qualification for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 top-four, knocking Lahore Qalandars out of the tournament with their win.

The left-hander, who has managed the only century in the fourth edition of the PSL 2019 praised the conditions and the atmosphere, labeling it ‘a homely feeling.’

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing what I did see in terms of conditions because it actually looked a lot like South Africa. It is a great venue with a great wicket.

Like many other international stars, Ingram became the latest to praise the quality of bowling in the PSL. He said that batsmen are required to play every delivery with extreme caution because the quality bowling attacks.

The PSL requires you to be very sharp and on the top of your game every day mainly because the bowling attacks over here are one of the strongest in the world.

There are some very skillful seamers around, a lot of left arm seamers which makes PSL different from other leagues. And each team has one or two really good spinners. In these conditions it makes batting very tough.

Lastly, Ingram added that Pakistan is a very passionate cricketing nation and it was evident when he first set foot in the country. The preparations, fans and everything building up to the big games has been a treat for him.

Cricket is a uniting factor here in Pakistan and that’s what sports should do.
