Government Sacks MD PTV Arshad Khan

The federal government, on Thursday, removed Arshad Khan from the post of Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Television (PTV) after months-long protests from the employees.

Arshad Khan was appointed on this post in September last year, a month after the incumbent government took charge.

He had replaced Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi who was also facing corruption charges.

Arshad has previously served as the managing director of PTV in 2004. After his removal, Colonel retired Hassan Immad Mohammadi has been temporarily given the additional charge of MD PTV

It is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
