The PIA spokesperson Mashhood Tajwar said that a departmental action will follow on the basis of the committee’s findings. He said that the working environment in PIA is very conducive.

“Especially, the female community enjoys great respect and feels very safe in the performance of their duties. Though the complaints regarding harassment are almost negligible but every complaint whenever received is taken seriously,” added the tweet.

A female employee of PIA had forwarded a written complaint to the PIA CEO against a male colleague for sexually harassing and blackmailing her. She said that she had complained to the authorities many a time, but they did not listen.

She stated that in case of further inaction, she will complain to the prime minister, the chief justice, and the chief of air staff.
