Army Chief Inaugurates National University of Technology in Islamabad

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa inaugurated the National University of Technology (NuTech) in Islamabad on Wednesday, ISPR reported.

According to ISPR, the rector of the varsity, Lieutenant General (retd) Khalid Asghar was also present on the occasion. He briefed the Army Chief on academic activities and strategic education plan of the university.

General Bajwa praised the efforts of NuTech’s management in successfully launching the university in just two years. He advised them to maintain high standards of education at the university.

“COAS also appreciated FWO for support in establishing an initial campus for NuTech within Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI) premises,” ISPR said.

NuTech’s unique concept ‘the University of Industry’ also impressed COAS General Bajwa.

The National University’s vision is to develop leaders of character for industry and skilled workforce for the country.

General Bajwa also offered support to NuTech management in building its future main campus on the outskirts of Rawalpindi/Islamabad which will accommodate 30,000-50,000 students.
