University of Jamshoro Bans Use of Social Media By Teachers

The Dean at University of Jamshoro, Sindh has taken strong notice of the use of social media by teachers, who have used it to tarnish the image of the university through fake news.

Therefore, the use of social media has been banned by the committee constituted by the Dean. The committee was tasked for dealing with the issue of confidential information being leaked, as well as to curb the sharing of fabricated news.

Those found violating the ban will face stern disciplinary action, according to the press release issued by the committee.

The deans from various faculties were in attendance at the meeting. These included Dr. Abdullah Dayo, Dr. Hafiz Abdul Ghani Shaikh, Dr. Hakim Ali Kanasro, Dr. Akhtar Hussain Mughal, Dr. Zareen Abbasi, Dr. Abdul Sattar Almani, Dr. Bashir Rind, Ali Raza Mirani and Registrar Ghulam Mohammad Bhutto.

The participants of the meeting unanimously agreed to refer the names of violators to statutory bodies, so that the necessary action can be undertaken against them.
