Federal Ministrer for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui chaired the 63rd Board of Directors meeting of Universal Service Fund (USF) on Monday.
Federal Secretary Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication Maroof Afzal was also present in the meeting.
The meeting confirmed the minutes of the 62rd Board of Directors meeting of the USF.
The Board gave approval to award of contract to Telenor in respect of NG-BSD (Next Generation Broadband for Sustainable Development) Dadu Lot, comprising of unserved and underserved areas in distrtics of Dadu, Jamshoro and Thatta
The meeting also approved award of contract to Telenor in respect of NG-BSD NH & MW Lot-2 (N-25 & N-65), and NH & MW Lot-3 (N-50 & N-70).
The Board also approved award of contract to Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (PMCL) in respect of South Waziristan Lot.
