The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings for 2019 are out.
The annual ranking now includes top 500 universities in Asia among which 23 Pakistani universities are also present.
The latest rankings have brought some good news for Pakistan as the number of Pakistani universities has increased from last year’s 16 to 23. The new entrants include International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIU), University of Sindh, Lahore College for Women University, University of Central Punjab, and University of Management and Technology.
The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad tops the list of Pakistani universities that made the QS Asian University Rankings 2019 with the 87th rank. In terms of the world ranking, NUST stands at 417th.
The second Pakistani university that made the list is Lahore University of Management (LUMS) with rank 95 in Asia and a world ranking between 701-750.
Quaid-i-Azam University is ranked as 109th in the top Asian universities with an overall rank of 551-560.
