KU’s Center for Chemical & Biological Sciences Becomes a Member of BHBD

Karachi University’s International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) has become a member of the Global Open Biodiversity and Health Big Data Alliance (BHBD).

The ICCBS spokesperson made this announcement while stating that ICCBS’s director Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhry has been accepted as its representative. He has been awarded this honor for his services in the field of organic chemistry and natural products chemistry.

His works include 68 books and 40 chapters published in the US and European publications, 2120 scientific publications, 1141 research papers in international journals, and 51 patents.

Dr. Iqbal has been cited 23,000 times as a reference and around 87 Ph.D. students and 36 M.Phil students have completed their degrees under his supervision.

The Global Biodiversity and Health Big Data was launched at the Beijing Institute of Genomics in Beijing on October 14, 2018.
