7 Players to be Dropped from Pakistan Cricket Team: Shoaib Akhtar

After a disappointing campaign in the on-going World Cup 2019, Pakistani fans and experts have asked for a complete revamp of the cricket team. From domestic to international level, changes are expected.

Keeping the same point-of-view, Shoaib Akhtar claims that Pakistan management needs to groom players and replace them with deadwood in the team.

After the 1999 World Cup, 10 players played for next 10 years for Pakistan. In contrast, there are seven players in this World Cup squad who will be out of this side soon.

He added that Pakistan’s mediocre performance in the competition should not be taken lightly and Pakistan should start preparing for the next World Cup as soon as possible because this will be a very lengthy process.

Akhtar added that the management also needs to be changed and more capable people should be appointed.

Pakistan needs to bring back the right people in order to groom the side. If you keep on bringing in average people, then you will get average performances. Until we come away from mediocre people, they will also bring in other mediocre people. A mediocre person never likes an extraordinary person as he is better than the mediocre person.

Although Pakistan’s chances for qualification are slim, the Men in Green can still qualify if they win all their remaining matches while other results also go in their favor.
