PTDC is Making a Tourism App for Pakistan

On Wednesday, Sayed Zulfiqar Bukhari, Chairman of the Pakistan Tourism Development (PTDC) said that the organization is going to design and launch an application that will promote and encourage national tourism.

The app will contain essential information on attractive recreational sites across Pakistan and will be updated in real time. It will be used to help relay information to both local and foreign tourists.

Bukhari said, “The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has again taken the lead in carrying forward Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision about tourism,” while addressing the launch ceremony of a similar mobile app designed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Corporation.

He further added,

The tourism sector will flourish in the near future and if it takes technology as an enabler, travel for everyone will be simplified.

He remarked that the federal government will use this template at a national level and will share it with other provinces, helping boost the tourism sector while strengthening the economy.

He didn’t announce an official launch date for the app. We will update you as soon as we get more news on the app.
