The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has set up special booths for urgent degree verification at its headquarters and all regional offices. The urgent verification of degrees will now cost Rs. 5,000, besides the normal fee of Rs. 800.
HEC has set a target of Rs. 500,000 per day for urgent degree verification. It will yield additional revenue of Rs. 150 million annually, helping the education watchdog overcome the looming financial crisis.
Director-General Attestation and Equivalence, Tahir Zaidi has said that the new procedure will eliminate nepotism, ensuring that the needy are served on a priority basis.
The dedicated slots at HEC offices are distributed as follows:
- 45 – headquarters
- 20 – Lahore
- 15 – Karachi
- 10 – Quetta
- 10 – Peshawar
The new procedure will come into effect from Monday, 15th July and the applicants can schedule their appointments on a priority basis by opting for urgent attestation through the online portal. The booths will be available at all the aforementioned offices from Monday to Friday.

I got degree attested by HEC for my Son in KSA but not in Envelope standard bcs WES they send me back bcs of no in Envelope when I ask in HECsaid it is ok no need Envelope?Now again I have to go .
I guess Normal fee is still 800. Thanks to almighty you did not increase that because i already took appointment before 2 weeks for my transcript verification . But i think 5000 is very high even for urgent. it would be good if you could make it just double the Normal. like 1500 for one degree or certificate. Although its a facility but yet its too much.

Students of batch 201414-18 ddn’t receive their degree yet.

5000 is less. you must take 50000000000 rs for verification. her koi pesa bna rha hai. koi puchne wala ni in ko. sirf verification ka 5000. kuch to khuda ka khof kro. logo ki majburi se q faida utha rahe ho zalimo
