Huawei Mate 30 Pro Live Images Show Off its “Waterfall Display”

Huawei Mate 30 Pro is not expected to arrive until later this year, however, that won’t stop the leaks from coming. The latest one shows the phone in live images next to a bunch of other smartphones.

The new set of images for the device were posted by IceUniverse on Twitter (original source now removed) and they show off exactly what the device looks like.

For reference, the alleged Mate 30 Pro is the white phone at the top.

Waterfall Display

The leaked images show the Huawei Mate 30 Pro lying beside a couple of other devices. The phone is enclosed in a case to cover up its design, but it still gives us a good look at what the display might look like.

The display is apparently going to be called “waterfall display” with extreme curves around the edges, so there are practically no side bezels.

Humongous Screen Size

IceUniverse also leaked the alleged screen protector of the phone in a previous leak. The protector showed a sleek bezel-less display with a moderately sized notch.

The notch has a bunch of holes for the sensors and the front cam, which indicates that there might be a face recognition system on the Mate 30 Pro.

The image also shows a narrow chin at the bottom which contributes to the high screen to body ratio.

Rumored Specifications

Huawei Mate 30 Pro is expected to arrive by fall this year, with a 6.71-inch QHD+ OLED display,a Kirin 985 processor, and a 4,200mAh battery with 55W fast charging. There’s going to be a quad-camera module at the back, with no info on the front camera. It’s rumored to have air gestures and facial recognition as well.
