The Oil and Gas Development Company Board of Directors have appointed Dr. Naseem Ahmed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company on acting charge basis with immediate effect.
This was announced in a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Previously, the aforesaid positions were held by Zahid Ahmed, who was relinquished from the charge of MD/CEO on July 31, 2019.
Dr Naseem Ahmad holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London, U.K., M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A. and a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology Lahore, Pakistan.
He is a veteran Petroleum Engineer who has experience in domestic oil/gas exploration and production operations, management, well testing, well completions and surface facilities. He is also an author/co-author of four journal publications.
