People of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) who cannot afford legal fee will now have access to free legal assistance soon.
The KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Information Minister Shaukat Yousufzai have said that the provincial cabinet has approved the Legal Aid Bill 2019 to provide legal aid to those who cannot afford it.
CM KP said that the government will establish a legal aid agency which will ensure the implementation of the bill.
The new legal agency will help women with inheritance, civil, and criminal cases while men will only get assistance in criminal cases.
