The United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has donated multiple mobile water quality testing laboratories to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
The mobile labs were received by the local government department in a ceremony. The UN body handed over the labs to the town municipal officer (TMO) of Chitral, Swat, and Shangla.
Provincial minister for local government Shahram Khan Tarakai inspected the mobile units while Mayor of Peshawar Asim Khan also attended the ceremony.
The laboratories contain the latest equipment and power back-up systems which enables them to operate on the go. Moreover, the labs have the capacity to test 29 different types of physical and chemical parameters.
