Xiaomi doesn’t seem to be running out of ideas when it comes to its crowdfunded products. Today, we are back with two more, a study table and a smart scarf.
The cute little study table is called igrow Natural Wood Study Table and Chair. The second product is actually in its patent phase and is a smart scarf that heats up and adjusts its tightness automatically.
With winter just around the corner, the latter looks like it will be used by many, that is, if it’s actually launched on time.
This little study table is constructed using Russian pine wood and is designed specifically to keep the children safe.
For versatility, the table and chair’s heights can be adjusted, while also allowing you to adjust the table top’s angle. People with heights between 110 to 180 cm can easily use it, which means, it can technically cater to adults as well.
Moving on to the chair, it comes with a double back and a pull-type seat adjustment. The cushion is a high-elastic pressure-relieving sponge with a waterproof and oil-proof cover.
Xiaomi has also incorporated a number of storage compartments and a magnetic back panel for increased storage.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the complete set is priced at $349 while the chair costs $125 and the table costs $237.
As more and more products adopt the Internet of Things (IoT), tech companies are striving to make everything “smart”. Xiaomi recently filed a patent for a ‘smart scarf’ that is designed to automatically adjust the tightness and warmth around your neck.
Based on the details in the patent, the scarf is no different than a typical woolen scarf, but it comes with a temperature sensing unit and an embedded IR heating unit. Moreover, the sketches reveal an elastic adjustment unit as well for tightening and loosening the scarf.
The device will also have the ability to connect to the user’s smartphone via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth so that the user can control the heating and the fit.
