4th Generation Suzuki Jiminy to be Introduced in Pakistan: Reports

According to media sources, the 4th generation Suzuki Jimny will be introduced in Pakistan by Pak Suzuki Motors following the car’s initial launch in Japan last year.

Currently, the 3rd generation model is available in the local market, which was launched worldwide in 1998 and was discontinued globally in 2018 after the next-gen model was introduced.

According to the information available, Suzuki is all set to launch the next-gen Jimny in the coming months.

The new model supports a completely new look and is powered by the newly designed K15B 4-cylinder 1.5 liter 1462cc petrol engine.

The new shape gives it an aura of ruggedness to project its off-road features and a boxy shape which showcases a solid look.

The interior has been upgraded to match its contemporaries keeping in mind that that overhaul has been twenty years in the making with the last-gen model not even having central locking.

The all-new Jimny was showcased at multiple cars shows last year all over the world and was released in multiple markets such as the Japanese, the Philippines and other locations.

Now, according to various media reports, it will be making its way to Pakistan which is a welcome development for the market as a whole and it would be interesting to see the price tag that will be attached to it.

Sources indicate that it will be a completely built unit (CBU) and we can expect to see it on the roads in the coming months.

  • Limited seating capacity, two doors only, CBU imported, Suzuki brand in Pakistan, 1500 cc engine are all ingredients of a insanely high price tag and yet again the government departments will be the major buyers and wasting public money on such option.
Suzuki in Pakistan has been the very first assembler but it has not lived upto the expectations as it fueled its survival with the govt contracts.
All auto cos. will have to think how to reduce prices because the point has been reached where the public is not willing to pay these high prices.
The new entrants have the chance to capitalise on this and not go for profit making by prices rather go for profit making by quantity.
    This is something very rare.

  • please get the spellings of JIMNY corrected.
