Samsung to Reannounce Galaxy Fold This Week

The wait is finally over! After making us wait for months, Samsung is re-launching Galaxy Fold at the IFA event on 6th of September. Pre-orders will begin on the same day while those who pre-ordered the smartphone will get it on 11th September.

Initially, Galaxy Fold was scheduled for launch in April after it was announced in February. However, during the testing of the initial batch, the smartphone faced technical issues which have been fixed now, hopefully.

Based on recent reports, Samsung is trying to release the smartphone in South Korea on the same day, September 6th. The company is gearing up to launch about 20,000 to 30,000 smartphones initially. On the other hand, another source claims that the initial batch will comprise of 2500 units only with around 300 to 400 units reserved for South Korea.

Specifications

The smartphone, as listed on Samsung’s website, will come with a 7.3-inch AMOLED panel with QHD (2152 x 1536) resolution for its primary display and a 4.6-inch AMOLED with HD+ (720×1680 pixels) resolution for the smaller display on the outside.

Camera-wise, the smartphone will feature a 10 MP cover camera, a dual-sensor (10 MP + 8 MP) front camera and a triple sensor (16 MP + 12 MP + 12 MP) rear camera.

The LTE model will ship with a 4380 mAh battery and the 5G model will ship with a 4235 mAh battery.

Price

The smartphone will come in four colors: black, silver, green, and blue and will be priced at $1965.

According to Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), the smartphone will be available in the US by 27th September.
