In recent days, rumors have been rife about Pakistan’s alleged attempt to establish relations with Israel. After the Foreign Office’s statement denying media reports surrounding Pakistan-Israel relations, Pakistan Army’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has also refuted talks of diplomatic ties with Tel Aviv.
Talking to a press conference on Wednesday, DG ISPR, Major General Asif Ghafoor made it clear that Pakistan will not accept Israel as a state. He added that the same has been Pakistan’s policy since independence and it is not going to change in any case.
Here’s the full press conference:
Answering a question regarding Israel, Army’s spokesperson said that the public must not fall prey to the enemy’s tactics of hybrid war. He urged the fellow Pakistanis not to pay any attention to such baseless reports.
Hybrid war’s one aspect is to delude the public, which they are doing so please stop falling prey to such propaganda.
Talking about Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, he reiterated that the country doesn’t have a ‘no-first-use policy’, and that we will go to any extent for Kashmir. He urged the public to trust their leadership, denying the false narrative of ‘Kashmir deal’ being built by the opposition parties for their petty politics.
He gave a clear message that our nuclear weapons are meant for deterrence and will be used as per the state’s policy.
