Cricket Australia Officials to Visit Pakistan on September 17

The Cricket Australia (CA) officials are expected to visit Pakistan on 17th September ahead of a series scheduled for 2022, local media reports confirmed.

According to the reports, Cricket Australia Chief Executive Kevin Roberts and accompanied by the board’s head of security, Sean Carroll will travel to Pakistan to be briefed regarding security arrangements along with other logistical concerns.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani will also meet the Australian delegation along with PCB Managing Director Waseem Khan in Islamabad.

PCB claims that this scheduled visit is a part of a trust-building campaign between both nations and that it will prove especially fruitful for Pakistan.

Before inviting Sri Lanka to play a limited-overs series in Pakistan, PCB approached CA with the same proposition. However, the Australian authorities are not keen on visiting Pakistan.

Despite that, PCB will again propose the idea to CA and it remains to be seen whether they can be convinced or not.
