Motorola Launches Its First Ever 4K Smart TVs

Following in the footsteps of other smartphone brands getting into the television business, Motorola has launched its first-ever lineup of smart TVs in collaboration with Flipkart in India.

The series consists of six different models – a base 32 inch HD model, a 43-inch Full HD, and Ultra HD model, and three more UHD models including 50″, 55″, and 65″ screens.

The screen has 178-degree viewing angles and Dolby Vision certification for HDR 10 content. There are 30W front-firing speakers at the bottom with support for DTS TruSurround, Dolby Audio and Motorola’s AmphiSoundX technology.

All of the TVs run stock Android TV with Play Store and Google Assistant. There are dedicated buttons on the remote for Netflix, YouTube, Google Assistant and Google Play.

As for hardware, the TVs are powered by a quad-core Mediatek chipset with Mali 450 GPU and 2.25 GB of RAM. All of the TVs offer up to 16GB of local storage and MEMC video processing technology.

Connectivity options include 4 HDMI ports, 1 USB port, TV input, and a SPDIF port. There is also a Bluetooth enabled double joystick gamepad.

Pricing for the Motorola TV series is as follows:

  • 32-inch HD TV:$196
  • 43-inch FHD TV: $350
  • 43-inch UHD (4K) TV: $420
  • 50-inch UHD (4K) TV: $476
  • 55-inch UHD (4K) TV:$560
  • 65-inch UHD (4K) TV: $910

All of the TVs will go on sale in India on September 29. No word on a release date for Pakistan.
