Ignite NIC Program Startups Shine at P@SHA ICT Awards 2019

Ignite NIC Program startups clinched five awards at P@SHA ICT Awards 2019- Aprus Tech under the category of Health and Wellbeing, Learning Pitch under the category of Education Technology, Girlythings for Indigenous Services, Pakagrimarket under the Agriculture category. Whereas SEED Funded project Optera Digital under category Marketing Solutions was declared the runner-up.

Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITES (P@SHA) held its 16th P@SHA ICT Awards on 21st of September, 2019 in Lahore. The P@SHA Awards are the premier event of the IT industry and bring together business leaders from various sectors as well as diplomats and media.

P@SHA ICT Awards is a representation of the best innovation Pakistani IT Industry has to offer, for which hundreds of contestants send in their submissions and are then evaluated by judges from leading tech companies. There were 9 main categories and 37 subcategories for which the awards were given to the winners and runner-ups. This year saw more than 350 applicants from across Pakistan, ranging from our largest IT companies to promising new startups and students.

The awards were received for 37 different sub-categories by the position holders from Marketing, Banking, Education, Health, Public Sector, Industrial Systems and other domains. The winners represented the diversity of the industry, ranging from promising startups to publicly listed IT companies as well as students from educational institutes.

These teams will now travel to Hanoi, Vietnam to represent Pakistan in the 19th APICTA Awards, competing with the top companies from 17 countries.

Education Technology Learning Pitch’s mission statement is to make quality education affordable and accessible to anyone anywhere. Learning Pitch aims to disrupt the education sector of Pakistan through innovative use of digital technology. By developing an online education platform where they have the most talented teachers recording lectures over learning glass. Girlythings

NIC Lahore

Indigenous Services Girlythings produces a kit that provides women with immediate menstrual care in case of an emergency. Additionally, it encourages conversation over stigmatized and tabooed topics such as menstruation encouraging better care for women.
PakagriMarket

NIC Islamabad

Agriculture Digitalizing the agri-value chain by connecting farmers to the input market through Agri-directories & farmer to the output market through Buy & Sale components of the platform. The company has partnered with Telenor which extends its agri-directory service to featured phone users via USSD & IVR service, prospected 5 million users. It has also recently partnered with Daily Pakistan for content delivery. Have been visited by 18,600 users this year to date.
EZMakaan Real Estate EZMakaan is a an online home solution for renovation, design and decoration that provides products across 9 categories (including paints, walls, flooring, kitchen, bathroom & sanitary, lighting, décor, appliances & electronics and furniture).
