At least 1.1 million people have been registered in the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme (NPHC), according to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Following is the breakdown of the people that have registered so far:
Over 25% aspirants from Lahore have registered themselves in the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, 13% aspirants had applied from Rawalpindi, while 5% from Multan and 3.5% were from Karachi.
Most of the applicants were affluent, and the majority of applicants belong to middle-class families, while farmers and others were only 10% of the applicants.
The online registration will continue till Oct 15, official sources informed adding that the registration process has also been started in Karachi.
The registration process of NPHS was being continued at the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA’s) E Sahulat Franchise Centres and online Website with payment of Rs 250 as a fee.
And over 40% of applicants were salaried persons.
