Pakistan Cricket Team Announces Replacement for Injured Imam-ul-Haq in 3rd ODI

Left-arm opener Imam-ul-Haq has been ruled out of the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka with a hand injury. Imam had injured his left hand while fielding during the second ODI on Monday.

Right-arm batsman Abid Ali will fill his shoes in the team. Abid, who scored a debut ODI hundred against Australia earlier this year, was left out of the World Cup squad to accommodate Imam.

He, however, remained in England as a backup player, but could not play any match. Today’s game will provide him a golden opportunity to prove his mettle.

Pakistan might also test fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain to rest either Mohammad Amir or Wahab Riaz.

The first match was abandoned due to a rainstorm while Pakistan won the second game by 67 runs to go up 1-0 in the series. The third one-day of the three-match series is being played today at National Stadium Karachi. The match will start at 3 PM according to the local time.
