Samsung Might Be Making a New “Zero Bezel” TV

On 2nd October, the intellectual and industrial property firm Abril Abogados, a trademark application with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) for a new TV from Samsung with the brand name ‘Zero Bezel’.

The application, categorized as class 9, includes provision for televisions, computer screens, LED displays, and digital signage display panels.

Samsung already has a number of bezel-less Smart TVs and gaming displays in its product lineup, but it seems like the ‘Zero Bezel’ lineup will be a step forward in terms of design.

Currently, the Samsung Q7F 4K Smart QLED TV and 49-inch QLED gaming monitor having 32:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio, are defined as bezel-less. Both of them feature extremely thin bezels, hence we can expect Zero bezel products to feature a very high screen to body ratio.

If the reports are to be believed, Samsung will launch the new lineup of devices featuring zero bezels at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020. The event is a global platform for showcasing innovation where more than 4500 companies exhibit consumer hardware, content, technology delivery systems and more. The expected dates of the event are 7th January 2020 to 10th January 2020.
