Xiaomi Unveils a Smart Heater, Heated Jacket and Air Purifier

Apart from being one of the top smartphone manufacturers, Xiaomi has been quickly expanding its portfolio of fitness gear and lifestyle products. This time around, the company is launching winter-specific devices.

The first one is the Smartmi Electric Heater 1S with app control followed by a heated jacket and Mi Air Purifier 2C.

Smartmi Electric Heater 1S with App Control

The heater features a high-efficiency aluminum sheet heating body that has a heat dissipation range of 4500 square centimeters. To promote conductive airflow, the company has used a dragon ridge arrangement. The high power 2200W heater warms up the room fast and the temperature range can be adjusted between 16-28 °C.

It also comes with a built-in dual temperature sensor and an automatic low-power operation to keep the temperature constant once the desired temperature is achieved. The Smartmi Electric Heater 1S has a Wi-Fi module on board as well, hence, the device can be controlled using the MIJIA App or XiaoAI smart assistant.

The smart heater will be available for sale by the end of this year for $70.

Xiaomi’s Heated Jacket

After releasing the heated goose down jacket, the company has now launched this Cotton Smith-branded product for winters. According to the company, this jacket will be able to keep the user warm even in temperature as low as -120°C.

The jacket comes with 90% high-quality white goose down which is warmer than duck down. It supports 4-speed multi-zone smart temperature control that can heat up the jacket in as little as 1 second. To power it up, Xiaomi recommends the 10000 mAh power bank that can keep the jacket warm for 7 hours.

The best part is, the material used in the jacket has been subjected to level 3 anti-splash treatment, thus, the jacket is ideal for rainy and snowy days.

The heated jacket is available for sale at the moment for $40.

Mi Air Purifier 2C

Xiaomi has quite a number of air purifiers. This one is basically the affordable version of the previously launched Mi Air Purifier 2S. The air purifier requires 33W power for its active fan mode. The power usage drastically drops as soon as the device goes into hibernation mode.

It comes in a tower-like shape with a white plastic body and a grey colored top and bottom. The high-speed fan that sucks the air in is housed at the top. The air then goes through a range of filters and comes out at the bottom.

According to the company, the HEPA filter in the device can filter out 99.7 percent of indoor pollution, and since the device is capable of 360-degree suction it has a clean air delivery rate (CADR) of 350 cubic meters per hour.

The air purifier has been launched in India and is available for INR 6,499 (Rs. 14,200).
