Vivo is expanding its ever-growing portfolio of budget-friendly smartphones with the Vivo Y11 (2019). The device is strikingly similar to Vivo Y12, but has one less camera lens at the back and uses the Snapdragon 439 chipset instead. Other specifications are more or less the same.
Design-wise, the phone is mostly the same as other Vivo budget smartphones. It features a large 6.35-inch HD+ (720 x 1544 pixels) display which houses a waterdrop style notch at the top. The side bezels are slim but the chin is relatively thicker.
Over at the back, there is a dual-lens primary camera module above the LED flash unit. There is a fingerprint sensor as well and Vivo’s brand logo at the bottom. The phone will be available in Coral Red and Jade Green colors.
Vivo Y11 (2019) is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 439 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. Out of the 32GB storage capacity, users are likely to get around 26-27GB of storage space for use. This can be further expanded through a microSD slot.
The Snapdragon 439 chipset comes with the Adreno 505 GPU, which should be able to handle games at low settings.
The dual-lens primary camera setup consists of a 13MP F/2.2 main shooter alongside a 2MP F/2.4 secondary depth sensor unit for bokeh shots. The camera can record videos in full HD resolution at 30 FPS.
The front camera located in the waterdrop notch is an 8MP unit for selfies and video chats.
In the battery department, the Vivo Y11 (2019) packs a large 5,000 mAh cell which can be powered through the micro USB connector. Such a large battery paired with entry-level specifications should easily ensure more than 2 days of battery life, though it will take some time charging up as it lacks fast charging.
The phone has been released with a price tag of $13o in Vietnam. There is no word on international availability yet.
